This game is all about going to the Drive In Theatre and is based around that experience, a corny horror film and the era when the movie was released and the music from those times. A big part of going to the Drive In Theatre as a child was getting rubbish food from the Snack Bar , this is also highlighted heavily in this pinball game. There are some cool 'angry moments on the DMD screen like the Move Your Car mode and the video mode punch up as these are all things that actually went on at the Drive In.

The aim of this game is to complete the tasks that spell F-I-L-M and then lock a ball into one of the lock holes in order to start the movie, after that a 2 ball multi-ball mode begins and you have to SEARCH for the girl, then RESCUE the girl from the Creature and utilise the Whirlpool bowl ramp shots to light the word C-R-E-A-T-U-R-E in the DMD , score Jackpot , utilise the bumpers to build up Jackpot amounts and Super Jakckpot amounts.......all this on a playfield that is tight and difficult to see your shots and you MUST keep 2 balls in play.......it is NOT an easy game.

Ok- you can play this game and think ' that's pretty basic and simple' , but if you do then you probably don't know the game in much detail beyond it's first objective to spell out F-I-L-M....there is a fair bit more to it than that. But to start with , here is a look at the 'basics' of the game that you MUST complete in order to reach the 'Movie Mode' where Multiball starts and the Creature Film begins......

Between the flippers there are the 4 large F-I-L-M inserts.

To progress into the game these are the first 4 things you should do, they are relatively easy and I will explain them below.

To start with , here is a look at whereabouts on the playfield the shots have to be made to obtain the four F-I-L-M letters. Below I will go through in detail how to score each letter.

The F is scored by spelling the word KISS.

As you can see in the shotmap above this is on the far left side of the playfield, below is a look at the entrance to the sink hole where KISS letters are collected. The ball is then ejected from a popper back into the RIGHT side inlane and fed back to tour right flipper so more KISS shots can be made.

There is some cool animations on the DMD as each KISS letter is scored and it involves a guy begging his girl for a KISS in the front seat of a car.

As each letter is scored the KISS letters in the playfield light at the entrance to the lane you are shooting into and the DMD animation gets better & better for the guy trying to score a KISS.

The letters in KISS can also be obtained by one of the skillshots available when you first plunge a ball onto the playfield, the letters in inserts above are constantly scrolling and if you plunge at the correct time AND hard enough for the ball to pass by the top inlanes and come around into play via the left of the playfield then you will be awarded however many of the KISS letters are lit when your ball passes a switch.

It is entirely possible to score the entire word KISS by plunging at the correct time.

THAT is how you score the F.

NOTE - this KISS lane shot also scores a rewards other awards throughout the game  - I will cover those on later pages.

In the middle of the playfield on difficult angles to the flippers are 4 x Snack Bar targets, these have to be completed in order to get the letter I in film.

A shot into the actual Snack Bar hole will also award one of the targets, it is to the upper right , but not visible, in this photo, where the yellow/red ENTRY arrow is pointing.

THAT is how you score the I.

NOTE - these targets also score other awards in the game - I will cover those on later pages.

This can be easy or difficult to obtain - and you have the choice.

At the top of the playfield are 4 x P-A-I-D rollover lanes, you must complete all 4 lanes and spell PAID in order to light the L.

When you first plunge a ball into play ONE of the letters is lit and available as a skillshot, if you plunge the ball into the lane area and manage to roll it through the lit lane then you are instantly awarded the letter L in F-I-L-M ( remember you have another skillshot choice to plunge harder and allow the ball to go around and score KISS for the letter F instead of this if you choose )

The LIT skillshot letter is NOT moveable with the flippers.

If you do not score the L via this skillshot then you must get the ball back up to this area 4 times in general gameplay, that shot is via a lane in the dead centre of the playfield hidden well under the main curly ramp.

If you end up going for the L in this second method then the lit lanes ARE movable via the flippers making them a little easier to achieve.

NOTE - the centre lane is used for some other modes in the game - I will cover those on later pages.

OK - this is definitely the EASIEST shot in the game and I wish it was more difficult to be honest.

To obtain the M in F-I-L-M you simply need to get ONE shot into the Playgorund hole on the far right side of the playfield - yes thats it !!!

Too easy in my opinion.

NOTE - Playground Lane is used for some other modes in the game - I will cover those on later pages.

On top of all of the methods listed above , I think ALL 4 letters from F-I-L-M can be awarded, one at a time, as random awards in the Mega Menu mode from the Snack Bar hole as well.

Done all that? - Still got balls left to play?
