Essentially there are 4 modes to get through and then a 'Wizard Mode' after you complete all 4. Joes Diner Bedrock Water Buffalo's Fred's Choice Dino Frenzy I will explain them below ALL modes are started by completing 1-2-3 sequence on the games 2 ramps, due to the unique nature of the apron on this game , the game can switch 1,2 or 3 to either ramp for the shot but you always have one ramp lit for it while the other ramp is always lit to Go Bowling. The 'next' mode you are going for is controlled by the bumpers at the top of the playfield
This mode actually contains some of the funniest animation in the game because it's the Move Your Car dude getting the shits and yelling at a waitress to serve his fries... After completing 1-2-3 on the ramps you have about 20 seconds to get 3 shots up the dead centre shot on the playfield, there is a rollover switch under the Brontos mid neck section in the shot above, you can see Joes Diner on the playfield below it - that's the shot. A successful shot is met with a whinge from the on screen cranky dude on the screen and the ball goes to the D-I-G lanes and hopefully find's it's way through the bumpers and back to your flippers quickly for another shot. 3 successful shots achieves the mode and the end animation is pretty cool.
Notice there are 3 other inserts in this lane. There is another feature of the game called Where's the Kids, I will explain that on my pages after the 4 main modes are explained - one of the shots when playing that feature is up this centre shot also as you can see the Extra Ball is scored up here as well as the Jackpot.
This is a timed target mode that lasts about 25 seconds- you just have to keep continually hitting the BED or ROCK drop targets ( yes a late model game with drop targets ! ) while a bad band plays on the DMD screen - for each target you hit the audience boos and throws stuff at the band. These sets of drop targets are in the middle of the playfield located at the inner edges of each ramp and are on extremely tight angles to the flippers. The set of targets that are lit in this mode seems to alternate between the sets while the mode runs.
These targets are also used to spot letters in the word Concrete in the centre of the playfield, once CONCRETE is complete Mutiball start is lit and you can shoot to The Machine to start Multiball.
In this mode the 2 'orbit' shots and the centre lane are lit. The sound is of Fred trying to guess A B or C and you have to make the 3 shots to score A B & C. The minimum shot value is 10 million in this mode. There are indicators on the playfield like below and flashers run behind them while in this mode.
This is a two ball multiball mode. There are 3 Dino Targets around the playfield, one at each ramp entry and another must be shot from the higher right flipper as it is located near the Bowl-O-rama on the way to shooting into the Bronto Crane. You can see one in the image below. The 'Frenzy' light at all the Dino/ Frenzy targets will be lit. Hitting any of the three targets will award the current value. One of the targets will have the 'Dino' light on too, if you hit this target you will increase the value by 1 million.
Ok - if you are in this mode AND achieve 'normal' multiball at the same time then you actually start a 4 ball multiball mode, meaning that you have better chances of making the Jackpot and Super Jackpot shots with more balls flying around.
