![]() I was warned many times NOT to ever buy a Gottlieb system 1 game ( this was before the Pascal Boards were around ) .......but I decided to grab this anyway.......I owned it for a little over a year and as it turns out THIS was THE MOST RELIABLE 70's / 80's machine that I had ever owned - isnt that ironic! The backglass on this game was a perfect 10/10, the cabinet was faded , but I was so over making/ painting cabinets that I decided just to leave this one as it was. This machine just needed a playfield strip/ clean & re-build and the images are shown below.
It was just little things like this post hole that needed attending to, I filled it and re-painted that area so you could hardly tell a post had ever been installed there.
The bumpers had mylar rings from 1978 still attached and as can be seen in the green shoulder of the Hulk in the 1st photo they had eaten into the wood.
I bought some new mylar rings from PBR and again filled and painted the worn area's to get the following result.
