Here is a look at the cards I created for my game using Photoshop

I think they look great - the red border is part of the card.

And here they are in the apron

And if you are wondering where my boney flippers are - well get a look at this next image.

I have new ones on order from Pinball Spare Parts in Australia - due to me in November 2009

If I can do this , then anyone can do it.

Here is what the Deadhead Skull Pile in the back right corner normally looks like - it is pretty bland. Note no 'eyes' as such and black holes for candles.

I followed the instructions found here

Now I am not even going to start to try and explain the electronics of it , I will just show the end result. The instructions at the link page will show you how to make the skulls all have flashing red eyes that work in gameplay and also in attract mode.

However I wanted the candles to look alive as well so what I did was to get some 2mm YELLOW perspex and cut it so it fitted in behind each candle. I then got 2 x ORANGE LED globes and wired them in parallel or daisy chained them if you like directly to the Beasts LEFT eye. There is a great access path for the wire and you can hide it so it is never seen. I then drilled holes in the backing board of the playfield large enough to fit the globes in and placed the globes there.

When I had finished both 'mod's I got the result as can be seen below.

A HUGE improvement I believe.

The candles flash or stay solid the same as the Beasts LEFT eye and they are far enough seperated on the playfield so that you don't notice they are running the same. I used the LEFT eye as it is on most , if not all of the time.

Here is what my game looks like now.

Another thing I did was to add RED globes behind the skull pile, I painted the existing 906 globes with ONE coat of RED glass paint and now whenever they flash in a game I get this wonderful red glow.

The next page will be my final page on my SS and show large random playfield and translite images.
