There are a few area's on most WH20 playfields that are prone to wear, the major two area's are at the Exit/Entrance to The Lost Mine on the left of the playfield and also the Wet Willies insert.

This WH20 had problems in both those places and this page will show you how I went about repairing them.

First I will show you the easy fix  - Wet Willies.

It was pretty much as simple as buying a new decal for this spot ( from the only JERK on this planet making them who I refuse to promote here ) and laying it over the old area.

I also had to do the slightest bit of filling and painting the playfield around the old edge.

The green of the tree's are different to original on the replacement decal as can be seen if you compare the far left tree in the bottom photo ( darker ) to the lighter trees on the decal itself but overall its far better to have this down that how it looked originally.

This was a bit more work that the Wet Willies repair but also involved a decal to do the job.

However in this case I am more than happy to promote the fantastic guy I bought it from and his business - Curly from The Little Shop of Games. I had dealt with him before for my Fish Tales decals.

This area in the first photo will be instantly recognisable to most WH20 owners as they are ALWAYS worn here.

Now , for $10.00 Curly sells this ROUND decal to cover this area.

I was a little hesitant about how all the lines and letters would line up and decided I wasn't going to be totally happy so I decided to cut it down a little and just use a 'part' of Curly's original decal.

Here is the only part of it that I ended up using as the surrounding parts of the playfield were fine and I only needed to cover this tiny spot.

Here is an ( albeit out of focus ) mage of the cut decal laid down. Now I just had to fill that worn section and paint it black. The diagonal lines 'just' don't line up but this is a VERY close up image, when you look at my overall playfield photos on my other pages you will struggle to notice this.

And here is the end result
