I have a page dedicated to Mountain Repairs but I thought I would show a few shots here of the area all finished up , complete with black rubber posts and blue targets installed at Bigfoot Hotfoot.

As a starter here is another 1%er I did when putting the game back together. I had read that Bigfoots Cave is the most broken boulder of all on WH20, realising that a ball never hits it I wondered why ......I discovered that the way it is screwed into the ramp that it makes contact with the siderail of the game when you are closing the playfield down 9 times out of 10.

Now - what I did wasn't rocket science , I simply drilled out the existing holes in the boulder more TOWARDS the boulder side, what this did was allow me to slide the boulder a mm or two to the LEFT when re-installing and this mountain has never clipped the side again.

Also don't forget there is a place this can be cable tied to the ramp at the back and you dont see the cable tie from the players viewpoint- ONLY tie this down if your boulder NEVER touches the side of the game when closing the playfield or you WILL snap your boulder for sure.

I mentioned at my Mountain repair page that you can see this mountain better at my final WH20 pages - well here it is.

Firstly unlit with an arrow indicating where I repaired the large hole.

And here is a lit shot - you can see it is darker where my repair is but hey its not that different to unlit area's of the mountain of you look down near the Mine Entry and I would MUCH prefer this than a gaping big hole.

Some of the more observant people may have noticed the blue 'rope' along the ramp in the above shots - you can see that at my custom lighting effects page.

I wanted to show this area in more detail even though it is fairly well covered at my Mountain repairs page as I am VERY happy with how the Boulder Garden ended up and I wanted to explain the lighting effect.  Look around the image as well - note the blue targets at the Bounceback and Hotfoot target areas as opposed to the original Red and White ( respectively ) targets as the game was originally designed. Also note the blue flipper rubber and there is that blue rope again !

How did I forget to paint those Bigfoot Cave Boulder screws?

And below are lit shots I wanted to highlight this and mention that when I received this game it had no lampholders in the bumpers at all- they had been cut out and removed. After checking with some mates who are more 'tech savvy' than me and I bought some lampholders and wired them in place.

However instead of using normal 555 style globes I placed YELLOW Ablaze 3LED style led globes inside the boulders and it creates this excellent orangy browny yellowy effect that they now emit.

In my opinion it looks WAY better than original

My next WH20 Playfield page will be my last and I wll attempt to show some nice random shots of the game , the backglass without too much explination.
