Test Matches

Australia Vs Great Britain
(England Prior To 1946)

1908 To 2003

If you think that Test Matches played between Australia and Great Britain have become a non event due to our current superiority, then think again. Not until the 2nd Test in 2001 did Australia finally hit the lead in the number of Tests won between the two countries since Tests began in 1908. In fact, by 1962, Great Britain had won 21 more games than Australia, leading the number of tests won by 41 to 21. Even after Australia's record winning streak of 15 consecutive Tests, from 18th November 1978 to 28th June 1988, Great Britain still led Australia by 49 to 48.
As at the 22nd November 2003, Australia leads Great Britain by 60 to 54 with 4 Draws.
