Your help is needed to preserve an important part of Mendooran's history, that is the families who have had any association with the town or the area over the past 160 years. To have your families information added to this site simply email the necessary details to me.

My name is Fran Martin (nee Merritt), I grew up at Mendooran, New South Wales, Australia and lived there until I was 25 years old. Although I no longer live there my family and myself often visit as this was home to me & I also enjoy catching up with the relations who still live there.

My family connections to Mendooran goes back for 5 generations with direct links to the LUCKIE, ELLIS, MARCHANT & MORRISON families.

After researching these families for many years and finding so many links to the above mentioned names, I have extended my research to other families who have had a connection to the Mendooran district. GO TO SURNAMES LIST

 I do not claim that all information found on this site is correct. There is so much that cannot be verified as it comes  second hand from other researchers but where possible I have tried to check any information with the Births, Deaths & Marriages Registrar but because of privacy laws the public only has access to births up until 1918 & deaths & marriages to 1945, so unfortunately some siblings in some families are not listed if they where born after 1918.

This is where I need your assistance. Even if I am supplied with dates of birth this information is not published if the birth occurred after 1918 & I do not publish marriage dates. A birth after 1918 is marked 'p' for private. If you see any information which you know to be definitely incorrect please contact me via email.
