Question:My 48cc motor has now completed over 12000kms(wow!) and I feel is due for its first piston and ring change(it has started to lag a little up hills).Do you recommend changing anything else other than the parts I have ordered when performing this service?if you think I will require any additional parts for the service please add them to my order as this is the first time I am attempting it. Also do you usually recommend changing rings and pistons at X amount of kms/hours, or just when you notice the motor may be feeling a little tired? Well its all finished and goes great. Not as much power as I thought (struggles on hills and 45º hills are impossible). Otherwise I was impressed with it. On the flat it doesn't take much to get up to speed. Average speeds I've been riding at is about 25km/h but mainly for safety on the bike paths. And that doesn't take much throttle at all to maintain. maybe 1/4 throttle. Fitting the motor to the bike was fairly easy...Anyway here is a photo for you to look at:
