I provide three opportunities for veterinarians, one specifically for individuals, and two workshop formats one designed for individual practices and one for groups of veterinarians. All individual session or workshop hours contribute towards Continuing Professional Development points required for continuing registration.

INDIVIDUAL VETERINARIANS

The geographic distribution of veterinarians in most cases eliminates face to face sessions. This problem is addressed by the using telephones or preferably SKYPE which also has the provision for video. In the case where telephone is the only viable alternative to minimize cost I will initiate the contact for a session.

Sessions are by mutual appointment to ensure privacy and confidentiality.  After I am contacted an appointment for the first session will be made. This session can be either two thirty minute sessions or of one hours duration and is free. This provides for an overview of the issues and a discussion of the process before a mutual decision is made to continue. The number of one hour sessions to resolve an issue normally varies between five and fifteen. Termination of sessions is by mutual consent. VETERINARY PRACTICES

The opportunity for veterinary practices is a two day interactive learning workshop. New skills are acquired and factors that limit practice growth and profitability are resolved. Common problems include role definition, poor communication, staff conflict and turnover and burnout. All members of the practice group (staff) have individual needs which when met lead to harmony and happiness in the practice. Burnout is the major factor in staff turnover.

Subsequent to a workshop all who attended are entitled to a one hour session free of charge to resolve any issues that may have arisen.

Workshop attendance contributes Continuing Profession Development points required for registration.
